Happy Monday.
1) I was never much for Michael Jackson, before or after his death. Never really cared for his music, even when he was a little child, I have never really liked any of his stuff. But now that I feel the post-death "Hype" has died down, I think it is safe to post this little video for the rest of you.
This is the closest to "sympathy for the dead" you will ever see from me. Enjoy.
2) Unfortunately I will not be in town for the next few days. Beginning Tuesday and ending Friday, I will be in Wisconsin with my family for the second most overrated holiday America has ever concocted.
But no, seriously, I do love thanksgiving. You sit around with the majority of your family, talk about how great life has been for you and your loved ones, and eat great food. That right there, should be how we celebrate all holidays. Valentines: sit around with your loved ONE and eat good food. Talk about how great life has been for the 2 of you. Then promptly retreat to the bedroom. St. Patrick's Day: Sit around with your buddies, talk about how great life has been and eat good food. Oh yeah, and drink, drink a lot. Christmas: FUCK YOUR TREE AND LIGHTS. Good food, Family, you get the idea.
Have a great Thanksgiving all.
Well Wishes, Juju.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Today's post is going to be a little rushed, as I am being swept away by Jessica Alba and Halle Barry, for a "Who Gives Better Head" competition.
My Grandad always says, "If you can't give 'em what they want, they will find someone who will." He was talking about E.D. but I think the point stands for blogs as well. So, if you need to satisfy your daily blog read, check out Somewhat Funny Things, run by my good friend James Harper. The title does kind of make it sound like James might have some confidence issues, but let me assure you, the man knows humor.
After you have done that. Go play Left for Dead 2. Seriously, do it.

Telling You What to Think
Wolfmother - The Cosmic Egg
I don't think there was anyone that could listen to Wolfmother's first album and not see pure unburdened genius. Andrew Stockdale had written unique, well thought out songs. With guitar rifts that couldn't even be compared to anyone else, they are astounding and played wonderfully. And even when the other 2 members left the band, (Chris Ross and Myles Heskett) most true Wolfmother fans believed, that since Stockdale had written all of the music, we would be looking at an equally as good sophomore album. This however, could not be farther from the truth.
The album is a love child of The White Stripes and Black Sabbath. It pains me inside to say that, but well, there it is. The album is about as well put together as one of those tall ass lego towers you made when you were six. I use this analogy because, after about the 5th track, the album just falls apart, not that the first few songs were great, or even good. This album is truly a disappointment, and I think it is safe to say that Wolfmother's 15 minutes, has come and gone.

Say Anything - Say Anything
Say Anything, one of the only good emo bands the genre has ever produced, has put out their self titled and I have to say that I was shocked, shocked and amazed. By no means is it a great album but since thier last one (In Defense of the Genre) I was skeptical, it took me almost a moth to finally obtain the the album and then another 2 weeks to actually sit down and listen to it. Maybe it was because of these low expectations that the album seems so good.
The first track "Fed to Death" is a great intro to the album, though short, and an excellent lead into the record's second song and single, "Hate Everyone." The second song only solidifies my feelings for Max Bemis; however great a songwriter he may be, we need to put him down before he kills again. It is still a great song, and I encourage you all to at least check out this one song. They do a small amount of name dropping through out the album, King's of Leon and Bjork are not safe from the wrath of Max Bemis. The album doesn't really pick up again until "Crush'd," which is easily my favorite track. The lyrics really capture what it is like to like someone, and going through the agony of working up the courage to tell them you do. I personally think it is a song about Bemis' new wife, but I have no proof to back this up. "She Won't Follow You" is another really good song, that I really get into, I recommend it strongly.
All in all, well done guys, you have restored a certain amount of my faith. "Say Anything" is not nearly as good as "... Is a Real Boy" but it is far superior to that joke of an album they put out earlier this year.

A Peak into the Mind of an Indie Douche.
A few people have brought to my attention over the last year or so that I am an indie douche. For those of you who don't know what that means, it means that I am a person that listens to indie bands (bands that are not signed to a major record label, played on the radio, known by the general public). I'm sure many of you know an indie kid, and know that these people tend to be real pricks when it comes to telling you why your kind of music is terrible, and ours is amazing. Many people don't understand why we would even consider putting down their music. They take it personally as if they had written and performed it themselves. I hope to offer a little more explanation as to why we think this, so that the rest of society can see where we are coming from.
The conversation (for me) usually goes like this.
Ignorant Shithead: "OMFG that new Nickleback song is so win."
Arrogant Cockbite: "I call hax. How could anyone like that horse shit. I could roll my head on the keyboard for hours and write better lyrics than that."
The conversation, usually goes down hill from there. With I.S. trying to defend the song and explain why it is the best song since (and I'm not making this up) "I Will Survive." While A.C. keeps cutting the song down while sometimes hinting that he thinks you are the most retarded person to exist since Ronald Regan.
But there is something you all have to understand. Cockbites. These Shitheads don't know music and the fine arts like we do. And Shitheads. You don't know what the fuck you are talking about. If you wanted sell your house you wouldn't ask your neighbor what he thought you should be putting it on the market for. No. You get it appraised, by a professional. Most Cockbites have been studying music and fine arts for a while. But Cockbites, we can't be angry at Shitheads. We have to understand its not their fault. It's the fucking RECORD COMPANIES!!! Those Assholes have been listening to the same shit for years now. And they will never listen to anything good. Ever. The Shitheads don't care enough to go look for truly amazing music, they just have the Assholes give it to them. But Cockbites, we, have nothing to do but sit around all day find these hidden bands, and talk about how awesome our beards are.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, you're both wrong. Shut the hell up.
Play Nice,
Juju.

Seroius Buisness (Vulgar)
I normally try to maintain a light mood towards life. An optimistic outlook, a pleasant facade with which I carry out my day to day. But something has... come to mind lately that I do not wish to make humorous.
This post is for every man everywhere on this glorious planet of ours, but it is to the women whom we share it with. Not all women, but... well you will know who you are.
Women, you need to understand something about men. No matter who they might be, we have a hard time showing true passionate emotions. How we really feel is not something we feel comfortable sharing with our closest friends, much less a woman, who we know will not understand how we think, or what we are thinking. When a man tells a woman that he has feelings for her, he is taking a HUGE step outside of his realm of comfort. Especially if he does not know if that woman feels the same about him. It would be akin to jumping out of a plane without a parachute, and hoping that, maybe, we might hit some big cushion that will allow us to walk away with our bones, minds and hearts intact. Now, understand ladies that, men can deal with rejection. We understand that, you may not feel the same way about us, and we can deal with that. It will take time to cope, but we will get over it, and we will move on with our lives. What really pisses me off is the following situation.
"You know Karen, I really like you."
Karen responds with a raised eyebrow and look of disgust. Followed by this little phrase.
"Oh? Really?"
Who.
The.
FUCK!
Do you think you are!
You look down on us? You say that to a person who has genuine fucking feelings for you? Who just paid you a huge fucking compliment I might add, that anyone could ever even be attracted to your condescending ass. When men are told that a woman likes us, we are fucking flattered, no matter who she may be. We may not return the feelings, but we are truly happy. But you feel entitled to not only humiliate us, but to make us feel that we were shit fucking retarded for ever even CONSIDERING that you two could be more than friends. No, you know what? Not friends. Friends treat each other with dignity and respect when one is pouring their hearts out to the other. You are responding like we just told you we wanted to sodomize you. Which is far better than what you deserve.
I, of course, understand that not all woman are like this, and to those of you that let us guys down easy, and can even maintain a friendship after that, here's to you. But to those of you who I am speaking to, your heads are so far up your own assholes that you don't even realize I'm speaking to you.
I get that men can be assholes, and I get that we have our flaws. But women, you are by no means better ANY of us. You want us to treat all of you like princesses? Fine, but be ready to treat all of us like fucking princes.
